I spent more than thirty years working in the commercial software industry, building and supporting web and mobile applications for businesses and consumers.

In that time, I learned a lot about identity and online security. Yet despite those advantages, I was once a victim of identity theft. It was a very bad experience, and I came out of it determined to arm myself with a set of best practices and useful tools, to make sure it never happened again.

So many people asked me to share what I learned that I decided to start my own personal consulting business. I now work with private individuals who want to learn about online safety, how to protect their identity, and to improve their digital security practices. And while I do charge a modest consulting fee, I really do this because it makes me happy to help other people stay ahead of the bad guys.

Note: I provide this service in-person - generally, at your home, and generally in and around the city of Portland, Oregon. Other locations can be arranged, subject to availability and minimal travel expense compensation.

I do not offer my services via online meetings at this time, beyond an optional initial (free) video conversation to discuss working together.
